The first step of every project is to meet to determine the needs of the space and the scope of the project. Whether the project in question is new construction or pre-existing, it requires a methodical and organized approach from concept to completion. We take a holistic approach to the design process and through detailed planning and analysis determine the most appropriate and inspired solution. From the very beginning we take into consideration the space as a whole and manage the process step by step to ensure the best, most comprehensive outcome possible, from the smallest of decorative details to more complex architectural modifications.

Once we have completed our preliminary consultation and research, we take time to analyze the project parameters and develop a design concept that will inform the subsequent schematic phase. The schematic design phase includes outlining specific goals and requirements for the space, establishing an appropriate budget and schedule, developing space plans, selecting finish samples and equipment, and developing millwork and other architectural design features. This collection of elements is then presented to the client for feedback, revisions, and approval.

Upon client approval of the Schematic Design, we refine the scheme and pull together a more articulated vision. All of these details are reviewed with the client and following approval, we get to work on the more technical stages of the project including permit applications, drawing plans, elevations, and details. We coordinate with other design professionals including architects, engineers, and contractors to work together to complete the construction and execute the vision. During the process, we oversee all documentation and coordination among trades and continue to execute the other aspects of the design including furniture and finish acquisition.

The final stage of the process is where we see the design come to life, implementing all of the finer details and finishing touches including furniture, decorative accessories, and artwork.
